Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Sunday night confirmed 313 new cases of COVID-19 across 17 states and the FCT putting the total confirmed cases of the pandemic in the country at 7,839.
The health agency also reported 5 new deaths bringing the total deaths in the country due COVID-19 to 226
According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, Lagos maintained the lead with fresh 148 cases while FCT and Rivers recorded 36 and 27 cases respectively.
The Lagos State authorities had given an indication of the prospect of a spike in the state upon the claim that the state had ramped up testing for the disease across the state.
