Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Saturday confirmed 553 new cases of coronavirus (Covid-19), the highest in 24 hours since the country recorded its index case in February, 2020.
The health agency daily report also revealed that 12 new deaths were recorded bringing the total fatalities to 273
Lagos again recorded the highest cases of 378, followed by FCT and Delta state with 52 and 23 cases respectively.
With the new cases, Nigeria’s total Covid-19 cases now stand at 9,855 with 2,856 patients discharged.
