After weeks of issuing strike threats and a series of ultimatum by National Assembly workers’ union to the management under the leadership of Clerk to the National Assembly, CNA, Architect Amos Ojo, the management has shifted significant grounds, granting all but one demands of the workers.

Consequently, a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, has been signed by both parties to spell out detailed timelines for implementation.

This was the outcome of a last-ditch effort by the NASS management to stave off the indefinite strike that was agreed at the Monday Congresses of the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria, (PASAN).

But for the MoU, the strike planned to shut down administrative and legislative businesses, would have begun on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 as earlier reported by The Conclave.
