Boeing (BA) has replaced the head of its Starliner spacecraft unit after the vice president leading the unit, Mark Nappi, departed the role, Reuters reports.

Nappi has been replaced by the company’s International Space Station programme manager, John Mulholland, a Boeing spokesperson told Reuters.

Nappi, who led Boeing’s Starliner programme through major engineering issues since 2022, is in a new role “focused on identifying opportunities for streamlining improvement across the division’s space programmes until he retires next month,” Boeing said.

Mulholland previously led Boeing’s Starliner programme before switching in 2020 to the company’s International Space Station programme.
