The annual awards ceremony, widely recognized for its credibility, integrity, and transparent selection process, is scheduled to take place on December 26, 2025, at the Nigerian Union of Journalists Secretariat, Azikoro Road, Ekeki, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State capital.
In a statement issued to journalists, BMNA Project Manager Mr. Blessing Matthew Ozegbe said Chief Amedi Uduru earned the nomination due to his sustained efforts in youth empowerment across the Niger Delta through the Joseph Amedi Foundation.
Ozegbe described the foundation as a trusted platform that has built bridges across communities and extended significant charitable support to the needy and low-income earners.
The BMNA project manager commended Chief Amedi Uduru, who serves as Group Chief Executive Officer of Exxocon Oil and Gas Holdings, Managing Director and CEO of Real Estate Harbour Ltd (Ghana and Nigeria), Managing Director of Axelson Oilfield Engineering Ghana Limited, and Managing Director of Axelson Oilfield Engineering Inc. (Gabon), for his generosity and passion for human capacity development.
He noted that the nominee’s vast knowledge and international exposure have equipped him with the intellectual capacity to inspire and rejuvenate the region’s youth.
Ozegbe urged other prominent sons and daughters of Engenni Kingdom and the broader Niger Delta to emulate Chief Amedi Uduru’s example in advancing youth development and regional progress.
