Chief Pastor Reuben Clifford Wilson, a chieftain and founder of the Pastor Reuben Initiative for Good Leadership and Accountability, has urged party supporters in Bayelsa State to embrace Governor Douye Diri and his team as they defect to the APC and align with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

Speaking to journalists in Yenagoa on Friday, Wilson described the governor’s move as “a welcome development and a victory for democracy, progress, and inclusiveness.”

He called on APC stakeholders to prioritize peace and cooperation, warning against internal divisions that could undermine the party’s goals.

“This is not the time for division or internal wrangling,” Wilson said.

“We must put the interest of our great party and our dear state above personal interests. The Renewed Hope Agenda is for all Nigerians, and Bayelsa must fully key into it.”

Wilson advised Governor Diri to act as a bridge-builder, convene a stakeholders’ meeting, and foster reconciliation to strengthen unity within the party.

He revealed that his organisation has mobilized members across the South-South region to support Diri and his cabinet as they join the APC.

“Our structure has been fully briefed and mobilized across the South-South,” he said.

“We stand solidly behind Governor Douye Diri as he joins the progressive family under President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. This is a new dawn for Bayelsa State.”

Wilson reaffirmed his commitment to the APC leadership and the Renewed Hope Agenda, stressing that collective action is essential to advance the party’s vision for national development.
