Following the feud between the Edo State governor, Godwin Obaseki, and his deputy, Philip Shaibu, the state government has relocated the office of the deputy governor to a building outside the government house.
Reports said that the new office was situated at no 7, Dennis Osadebey Avenue, close to the government house.
The new deputy governor’s office used to be the state Public Procurement Office inaugurated by a former Governor of the state, Sen. Adams Oshiomhole, on December 16, 2014.
One of the workers was quoted to have said the building was expected to be delivered on Monday.
But he said he did not know what the building was going to be used for.
He added that he had not seen the sign board placed at the entrance when told there was one already in place
When contacted, Commissioner for Communication and Orientation, Chris Nehikhare, said, “If there is a government sign board saying so, then it must be so.”
