A Security man, Adewusi Abiodun, 40, with the United Bank for Africa (UBA), Iwo Road branch 3, Ibadan, was arraigned before an Iyaganku Chief Magistrates’ Court for allegedly damaging the bank’s CCTV hard disk.

The defendant was charged with three counts bordering on conspiracy, entering and damage.

According to the prosecution counsel, DSP Sikiru Ibrahim, told the Court that the defendant allegedly conspired together with others at large to commit the act.

Ibrahim alleged that the defendant on April 20, between 12:00 a.m and 6:00a.m entered into some offices at the bank unlawfully with intent to commit felony.

He alleged that Adewusi maliciously damaged the hard disk of close circuit television camera (CCTV) installed at the bank to conceal his identity.

”The defendant was alleged to have been a mastermind of criminal activity in the banking hall,” Ibrahim said.

He said the offence contravened Section 411, 451 and 516 of the Criminal Code Laws of Oyo 2000.

The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The magistrate, Mr Maaruf Mudashiru, admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum.

Mudashiru , thereafter, adjourned the matter until July 28, 2025, for hearing.
