The Special Adviser to Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State on Environment and Sanitation, Hon Babatunde Adeniyi Balogun, on Monday called on the people to support the Governor Ademola Adeleke-led administration in the state.
Balogun said that Governor Adeleke’s was committed to addressing the dangers associated with ecological and environmental challenges in the state.
According to Hon Balogun, in a chat with our Correspondent at the state secretariat, “we must commend the timely intervention of Mr Governor for tackling environmental challenges in the state.”
The Special Adviser to the governor who warned people against indiscriminate dumping of refuse in canals and waterways to avert an array of environmental challenges that constitute threat to life and property of the citizenry, stressed that the intervention of Governor Adeleke had already brought solace to various communities and its environs.
He said that this would also alleviate the hardship of farmers and road users during the rainy season.
Hon Balogun, who reaffirmed Governor Adeleke’s administration readiness to maintain a top position among its peers at championing good environmental sanitation, identified environmental challenges as part of the reasons the governor made an emergency declaration on sanitation and zero tolerance for filth.
The Osun Special Adviser on Environment and Sanitation boasted that the available records and accolades earned through Governor Adeleke’s initiative had, without a doubt, positioned Osun as one of the safest states in environmental management.
Hon Balogun noted that Governor Adeleke’s administration had put in a lot of efforts to turn around the environment and sanitation sector, ensure maximum security of lives and property and to revamp the economy of the State, thereby lifting people from poverty to prosperity while promising not to relent in the efforts to turn the fortunes of the entire Osun State around.
He further said that the incumbent administration in Osun would continue to place a high premium on matters concerning the wellbeing of the people of the state.
