In a bid to heap the moral burden on those defending popular Nollywood actor, Olanrewaju James, aka Baba Ijesha, a video of his confession to defiling a 14-year old girl was shared on Thursday by Iyabo Ojo.
In the raw video footage, Baba Ijesha, looking harried and flustered, was captured while profusely apologising for committing the act.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Muyiwa Adejobi, had said that there was substantial evidence against the actor as he was caught in the act on Closed Circuit Television.
In the trending video in the social media, Baba Ijesha was filmed apologising to Princess comedienne, who is the foster mother of the 14-year old girl.
He said :”I am sorry, I won’t do it again. Please forgive me. I know I have done something wrong. I have stopped saying it’s the devil, please forgive me. You don’t deserve it; I don’t know what came over me, please forgive me. If you want to take me along, just let me kill myself.”
The video has elicited divergent reactions in the social circle.
