According to him, “I which to commend the good work this Committee is doing, it is for transparency and accountability sake, nothing to hide, we are here before this honourable Committee to present our submission on the queries raised against our Council and the Committee has taken it and we have been cleared having gone through the submission.”

Speaking, the Chairman of the Committee, Hon Busayo Oluwole Oke made it clear that the Committee was not after anybody or agency but was out to perform its constitutional roles.

Hon Oke pointed out that moreso the opinions in the Auditor’s reports were not formed by the parliament but were formed by the office of the Auditor General of the Federation where the reports were passed to the parliament for further action which necessitateud the invitations being extended to the MDAs to come to say their own side of the case but have refused to show up.

He however said that the Committee would not be deterred from carrying out its responsibilities to the people who elected despite the antics of the MDAs.

The Committee cleared the queries raised against the Council after going through the relevant documents presented to back its submission.
