Forner Vice-president Atiku Abubakar, on Saturday morning, visited former President Olusegun Obasanjo at his residence in Abeokuta.

Atiku’s visit might not be unconnected with his 2023 presidential aspiration.

Atiku reportedly arrived at the penthouse residence located in and around the premises of the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL), Abeokuta about 10am.

He launched into a closed-door meeting with Obasanjo.

Atiku is believed to be consulting widely in respect of his speculated presidential bid.

He has yet to publicly declare his intention to run.

Atiku was Obasanjo’s Vice between 1999 and 2007.

He had vied for the presidential seat in 2007, 2011 and 2019.

Daily Trust had reported that Atiku, alongside his aides, stormed Abeokuta on Friday ahead of the consultation on Saturday.

Apart from meeting Obasanjo, Atiku and PDP officials are expected to meet the Alake and Paramount ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo.
