Presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar and his counterpart in the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, have commiserated with the family and friends of the late rights activist and executive director of the Adopt-A-Goal Initiative, Ariyo-Dare Atoye.
Ariyo died on Thursday, October 27, 2022, in a private hospital, of lung cancer.
In his message, Atiku Abubakar described Ariyo as a young man filled with energy and passion.
“Mr Ariyo Atoye was a patriot, an activist, and a loyal member of our great party, the PDP. I just received report of his death after a protracted battle with lung cancer.
“He was a young man filled with energy and passion. My thoughts and prayers are with his family, his friends and his loved ones. May his soul rest in peace,” Atiku said.
In his message, Tinubu commiserated with Ariyo’s family and friends over his untimely death and prayed to the Almighty God to grant Ariyo eternal rest.
“Today I commiserate with the family and friends of Ariyo Dare Atoye @AyoAristotle over his sad and untimely passing. I pray that the Almighty God, in his infinite mercy, grants him eternal rest. And may He also grant comfort to his family and loved ones.” Tinubu said
