The Association of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Nigeria, has concluded its 12th National Convention held from September 17-21, 2025, at DRACC, ACO Estate, Abuja.
The convention, which brought together members from across the country, ended with a communique that outlined key resolutions and elections.
The communique, signed by Michael C. Akabueze, Chair of the Communique Committee, and Agada Rawlings Emmanuel, National President, highlighted several key resolutions, including
●》Compliance with CBCN Directives: The Association called on Presidents at all levels to comply with the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria (CBCN) directives on single terms for Presidents and maximum tenure for other officers.
●》Use of National Prayer Guidelines: Members were encouraged to make proper use of the newly released National Prayer Guidelines and Meditations Book.
●》Condemnation of Negative Attitudes: The Association condemned the negative attitudes of some Provincial Officers who attend national functions only once in four years.

●》Role of Blessed Virgin Mary: Members were encouraged to recognise the role of the Blessed Virgin Mary in their Salvation History and accord her the honour she deserves.
●》Succession Planning: The Association emphasized the need for succession planning and execution for its growth.
The convention also elected new national officers to serve for the next four years.

– President: Chisom Chukwumah
– Vice President: Catherine Haruna
– General Secretary: Benadette Okonkwor
– Assistant General Secretary: Philian Nwahiri
– Treasurer: Bridget Dibia
– Financial Secretary: Augustine Idaghe
– Promoter: Edward Oyoboseli
– Registrar: Anthonia Loto
– Social/Welfare: Juliet John
– Publicity Secretary: Paul Olanrewaju
– Internal Auditor: Raphael Ileleji
– Night Adoration Coordinator: David Ogu
– Tarcisian Coordinator: Peter Olowokere
The newly elected officers are expected to lead the Association in implementing the resolutions and promoting the Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
