The immediate past Acting Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Osun State and Director General Ademola Adeleke Campaign Organization, Hon Sunday Bisi, has described the Friday Appeal Court’s victory as a good omen towards the development of the entire state.
Hon Bisi who congratulated Governor Nurudeen Jackson Ademola Adeleke of Osun on his Appeal Court’s victory in his congratulatory message made available to newsmen in Osogbo the state capital on Saturday said he was happy that the appellate court affirmed the mandate given to Adeleke at the poll.
The Court of Appeal on Friday annulled the Osun Governorship Election Tribuna’s decision and upheld Adeleke as the rightful governor of Osun in a unanimous decision by a three-man panel headed by Justice Mohammed Shuaibu.
It would be recalled that the July 16, 2022 Osun
Governorship Election Tribunal had annulled the election of Adeleke and declared then incumbent Gov. Gboyega Oyetola, the winner.
According to Hon Bisi, who is also the Director General Atiku/Okowa Campaign Organization, “I am highly elated with this victory. It is heartwarming.
“I am also using this medium to congratulate and appreciate the people of the state as well on their unalloyed and unflinching support to Gov Adeleke and entire PDP since assumption in office and I am assuring you all that the governor and the party would not let the down.
“I also want to call on our teeming supporters to remain united under our umbrella and always pursue the progress of the PDP in Osun. Gov Adeleke cannot do it alone without our supports so we have to come together as a family and demonstrate our complete support and cooperation. ”
Hon Bisi urged the judiciary across levels to re-build Nigerians’ confidence in the justice system in the country.
