The Court of Appeal, Abuja Division, has upheld Stella Oduah as the Senatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Anambra North Senatorial district in the February 25 National Assembly elections.
The court dismissed the suit filed by John Emeka seeking to disqualify Oduah on the grounds that she never obtained an NYSC discharge certificate.
He had also pleaded before the court that Oduah gave false information when she stated that she lost her NYSC Discharge Certificate.
The Federal High Court had earlier struck out the matter and Emeka filed an appeal to the Court of Appeal.
The Court of Appeal in its judgment dismissed Emeka’s appeal and upheld the judgment of the Federal High Court, affirming Oduah as the bona fide candidate of the PDP for the senatorial election.
