APC Reconciliation: Erondu declares “No Victor, No Vanquished,” rallies Abia South for 2027 senate victory

The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Abia South Senatorial District, Hon. Erondu Uchenna Erondu, has called on party members and stakeholders to put the divisive contest of the party’s primary election behind them, declaring that the outcome of the exercise belongs to the entire Abia South and not to him alone.

Erondu made the appeal during a post-primary reconciliation meeting convened by the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, as part of efforts to restore unity and strengthen the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Addressing party faithful and stakeholders, the APC senatorial candidate emphasized that there should be “no victor, no vanquished,” stressing that the primary election was merely an internal democratic process designed to produce a standard-bearer for the party rather than create divisions among its members.

According to him, his emergence as the APC candidate for the Abia South Senatorial District represents a collective victory for the people of the zone, insisting that the mandate belongs to every member of the party and every resident of Abia South who desires progressive representation.

Erondu noted that while the primary election has been concluded, the real challenge lies ahead in securing victory at the polls. He urged party leaders, supporters, and former aspirants to close ranks, bury every grievance arising from the primaries, and channel their collective energy toward winning the senatorial election scheduled for January 16, 2027.

He maintained that the period for political rivalry and bitterness has come to an end, saying the focus must now shift to building a united front capable of delivering electoral success for the APC across the district.

Calling for sustained collaboration, Erondu appealed to stakeholders, party executives, youths, women, community leaders, and well-meaning sons and daughters of Abia South to actively mobilize support at the grassroots, facilitate a peaceful and issue-based campaign, and work tirelessly to ensure the party records a resounding victory in the forthcoming election.

The reconciliation meeting came against the backdrop of dissatisfaction expressed by some aspirants and stakeholders over the outcome of the APC senatorial primary, a development that had raised concerns about party cohesion ahead of the general election.

Recognising the need to preserve party unity, the Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, brought together aggrieved stakeholders, party leaders, and supporters in what observers described as a strategic peace-building initiative aimed at healing wounds and reinforcing internal democracy within the APC.

The gathering ended on a note of optimism, with participants speaking in one voice and reaffirming their commitment to the APC, its candidates, and the collective goal of securing victory in the 2027 elections.

Stakeholders pledged unwavering loyalty to the party and resolved to set aside personal interests in favour of the broader objective of expanding the APC’s political fortunes in Abia State.
