The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State has showered encomiums on Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa as he celebrates his 61st birthday today, Sunday, January 11, 2026, describing him as a visionary leader whose innovative reforms have instilled a deep sense of belonging and purpose among party members across all levels.
In a statement issued by the party’s Director of Media and Publicity, Steve Otaloro, the APC commended the governor for his profound contributions to both the party and the state.
The statement highlighted Aiyedatiwa’s groundbreaking initiatives within the APC structure, which have empowered executive committee members from ward to state levels, fostering inclusivity, fulfillment, and a renewed zeal to serve.

The statement further celebrated the governor’s strides in repositioning Ondo State as an emerging industrial powerhouse. Key among these are the revalidation of the Ondo Deep Sea Port licence by the Federal Executive Council and ongoing partnerships for the construction of a modular refinery with a capacity of up to 500,000 barrels per day, alongside allied petrochemical industries within a proposed free trade zone.
“These landmark agreements represent a lofty legacy that will outlive his tenure, creating thousands of jobs, decongesting national ports, and establishing Ondo as a gateway for international trade and industrial innovation,” Otaloro noted. “They stand as enduring testaments to his foresight and commitment to sustainable economic growth.”
As a devout pastor and preacher of the Gospel, Governor Aiyedatiwa has consistently demonstrated faith-guided leadership, often leading services at the Government House Chapel. The APC invoked biblical assurances, quoting Proverbs 3:5-6: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” They also prayed for continued divine protection, referencing Psalm 91:11: “For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways,” affirming that God remains his compass in steering the state’s affairs.
The party wished the governor a joyous celebration filled with good health, wisdom, and divine favor, praying for sustained strength as he leads Ondo State to greater heights.
