APC chieftain, Makyur, mobilises Benue women in prayer support for Tinubu, Akume (+video)

A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Mr Loverty Terhemba Makyur, on Saturday (17th June, 2023), mobilised Benue Women Leaders in prayer support for President Bola Tinubu and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Senator George Akume.

In his opening remarks, the convener of the interface, Makyur informed Benue women leaders, that the essence of the interface /prayer session was to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu who in his wisdom and love for Benue State had found a son of Benue in person of Senator George Akume worthy to be appointed in his government to an exalted position of Secretary to the Government of the Federation.

He said that it was very important to submit to God to help President Tinubu and the SGF, Senator Akume, with the wisdom to appoint result-oriented people into positions of leadership that would help deliver on the mandate of the renewed hope agenda of Mr. President.

He further told the women that the prayer session was going to be a continuous process that would be held after every two months to uplift the president and the SGF before God for His abiding grace.

The women leaders who were drawn across the twenty-three (23) local government areas of the state under the leadership of the APC Chieftain and State Treasurer of the party, Hon. Princess Nancy Awuese Torher praised the leadership qualities of Sen. Akume with testimonies of his experience and humane gesture.

They rendered songs of praise and said prayers for almost two hours across different denominational practices as they were moved in spirit in support of Mr. President, the SGF and Nigeria as a whole for protection and for a successful administration.

The event, which took place at the main hall of the APC State Secretariat in Makurdi, was graced by personalities, women, youth groups, and gentlemen of the press.
