Anxiety has enveloped the ancient Benin Kingdom as His Royal Majesty, Omo N’Oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo, Ewuare II, has summoned an emergency meeting of Benin Chiefs, market women and other residents of Benin Kingdom.
The emergency meeting has been called for today, Friday, July 9, 2021. The venue is the Obas’s Palace.
A terse statement by the Palace signed and released by the Secretary of Benin Traditional Council, Frank Irabor on Thursday, said the meeting would start by 10am.
The agendas of the meeting were not disclosed, thus heightening the people’s anxiety.
