Three weeks after burglars broke into the homes of the Chief of Staff, CoS, to the President, Professor Agboola Gambari and an Administrative Officer, Abdullahi Maikano in and around the premises of the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, another security breach has occurred, raising questions about how porous the surroundings of the most secure location in the country have become.
The breach, this time round, occurred on Ali Akilu street, with many streets and closes off it, where many prominent politicians and administration officials have their houses.
The victim, according to a report by The Street Journal, TSJ, was former Minister of Agriculture, Chief Audu Ogbeh, whose residence was purportedly raided in his absence.
The medium quoted an impeccable source to have said that Ogbeh was robbed of valuables and very important documents in his home situated on Ali Akilu street inside the Presidential Villa.
The entrances and exits that lead to the Presidential Villa, which are manned be security operatives round the clock, lead to all the streets in and around the premises of the Presidential Villa.
The Street Journal also reported that an aide of the former minister, who confirmed the incident, disclosed that Ogbeh’s home was indeed robbed last week, adding that he (Ogbeh) was away when the incident happened. (TSJ)
