An Anglican priest, Rev Efe Urhogo, has reportedly slumped and died while preaching on the altar.
It was learnt that the incident happened on Wednesday evening during the Anglican Youth Week programme.
He was a priest with the Anglican Communion in Nigeria.
He was ministering at St John’s Anglican Church, Okpara Inland, Ethiope East Local Government Area in Delta State where the tragedy struck.
He was subsequently rushed to the Eku Government General Hospital, Eku.
The medics at the hospital, however, confirmed him dead.
Meanwhile, his remains have reportedly been deposited in the morgue.
The deceased, according to reports, hailed from Urhuoka-Abraka in the Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State.
