Amnesty International on Wednesday condemned the killing of aid workers by Boko Haram.
The International Human Right Watch in a post on social media said with yet another horrific killing of humanitarian workers, Boko Haram has again demonstrated its brazen disregard for life.
Boko Haram terrorists on Wednesday were reported to have released a video, showing the assassination of five humanitarian workers who were recently abducted along Monguno area of Borno state.
The insurgents had earlier demanded about $500,000 dollars ransom before the abducted workers could be released.
Amnesty International said the aid workers were providing desperately-needed humanitarian services to people affected by the conflict in the northeast of Nigeria.
The group said under international humanitarian law, all aid workers must be protected from attack.
“Killing them is a war crime. Boko Haram must end its violent attacks against aid workers and in the region,” Amnesty International said.
