Amnesty International has condemned Boko Haram’s latest brutal assault, which claimed at least 75 lives in Tunbun Rogo, a village in Kukawa local government area of Borno State, on Tuesday.

The attack specifically targeted fishermen, causing widespread panic and devastation in the community.

Dozens of people remain unaccounted for, and bodies of those who tried to escape are still being discovered in the surrounding bush and nearby river, highlighting the tragic aftermath of the raid.

In addition to the killings and abductions, Boko Haram fighters have been committing sexual violence against women and girls, exacerbating the already dire situation.
