Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki has congratulated his deputy Philip Shaibu on his 54th birthday.
Mr Obaseki, 66, and Shaibu are locked in a cold war over the latter’s ambition to become governor.
On November 27, Shaibu formally declared his intention to contest for the PDP’s ticket.
While Obaseki believed his deputy was too ambitious, Shaibu said it was within his rights to desire the state’s plum job.
Celebrating Shaibu on Friday via social media, Obaseki wrote, “I congratulate my brother, the Deputy Governor of Edo State, Rt. Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu @honphilipshaibu, on his 54th birthday.
