The Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, has officially announced the postponement of students’ resumption and commencement of academic activities due to ongoing renovation works on student structures and facilities.
The decision, approved by the University’s Senate, aims to provide a conducive environment for academic excellence.
The university management said it deemed it necessary to complete the renovation works to enhance the overall teaching and learning experience for its students.
A statement by management said that works were expected to improve the facilities and provide a better environment for students to learn and grow.
The postponement has affected several academic activities, including: the 140th Inaugural Lecture, which was originally scheduled for January 15, 2026, and the ongoing examinations, which have been put on hold
The university management promised to announce a new resumption date and would communicate the revised schedule to all stakeholders.
Students were advised to vacate the hostels with immediate effect to allow for the renovation works.
The university management appreciated the understanding and cooperation of students, parents, and guardians on this matter.
They urged all students to adhere to the new resumption date and prepare for a productive academic session.
