Following the demise of the Alakinla of Akinlalu, Chief Gbonka of Ile-Ife, Chief Bolarinwa Ominyefa Fakowajo and members of Labala’s royal compound of Akinlalu community in Ife North local government area of Osun state have disclosed that processing towards selection of the new Akinla of Akinlalu is ongoing.
This was made known in a press statement issued and made available to newsmen by Chief Fakowajo and entire Labala’s royal compound of Akinlalu on Tuesday.
According to the statement, “as we are waiting for the outcome of the court on the selection of the new monarch for the ancient community, we are appealing to all the king makers as well as son and daughters from home and in diaspora to be wary of any step that may affect the already existing peace of the town.
“Nobody has been allowed to take any step towards selection of the new Alakinla as they are going to adopt due process immediately the process is commenced.”
The statement described the ancient Akinlalu as one of the peaceful communities in the state, saying the entire residents are very hard working and hospitality.
