Without ambiguity, the end of life’s journey and memories are all we are left with. Not even death can take that away from mankind. Good memories bring joy and nostalgia. The Holy Book says: “The memory of the righteous is a blessing.”
The above narrative well described the honour Peter Oluseun Bayode, Akinola Ajibulu and a media personality, Emmanuel Ajibulu, bestowed on their late father and mother, Elder Elijah Bayode Ajibulu and Deaconess Bosede Esther Ajibulu.
According to the children who had a two-in-one ceremony on Saturday, April 29, 2023 to celebrate their departed parents, “outside the love of God, there is no other kind of love that can compare to that of a mother and father.”
The high-profile event was a final burial ceremony for their mother, who slept in the Lord on January 10, 2023, as well as 13 years remembrance anniversary for their father who died in 2010.
The church service for the event held at the Christ Apostolic Church, Oke Isegun Idimu District Coordinating Council headquarters, Lagos State, and was presided over by Pastor S.O. Fadipe (IDCC Superintendent).
Speaking at the event, Pastor Olu Abiola commiserated with the entire family, saying the late Deaconess Esther Ajibulu and her husband Elder Bayode Ajibulu served God, their family, the church, and the community passionately during their lifetime.
“It is a time to celebrate because of the great things these great icons have done. The lives of our mother, Deaconess Ajibulu and her husband Elder E.B Ajibulu are worthy of celebration. These are individuals who served God from the beginning of their lives. They served their family, church, and community for many years. We thank God for their lives,” he said.
Also speaking at the event, Pastor S.A. Ogundipe congratulated the children and their families for celebrating the demise of both the matriarch and patriarch of the Ajibulu family.
“We thank God for their lives for the fact that they had the greatest legacies of lives that are full of achievements, joy and they both passed on at ripe ages,” he said.
Wife of Emmanuel Ajibulu Olajumoke on her part described her father and mother-in-law as wonderful individuals who lived a fruitful and life of purpose worthy of emulation.
Guests were subsequently moved to the reception ground at GeeDee event center in Ejigbo Road where they were treated with assorted meals and wines alongside a life band with highly skilled MCs Armstrong Alile and Adewale Adekanmi of Lagos Television.
The auspicious occasion was attended by many CAC and RCCG pastors and other denomination priests, religious leaders, traditional rulers, judges and lawyers, politicians, movie practitioners, journalists, captains of industry, members of 1986 set of Alimosho Grammar School Old students’ Association as well as family and friends of the deceased.
In attendance were specifically Pastor Wole Osinupebi and Pastor Folami Akinrimisi of RCCG Morning Star Parish (Anthony village), Pastor Gladson Amah of RCCG Rock of Ages Parish (Satellite Town) ably represented by his precious wife Pastor Nkechi, Pastor J.S. Adegboyega, Pastor Akintayo, members of Men’s Fellowship led by the President Elder (Engineer) Deji Olubusoye with his excos, Femi Olagunji, Abiodun Salami, Ezekiel Adewole, Igwe Innocent, Emmanuel Ajayi, Clement Inanwaze, Raymond Randy, Richard Alabi etc.
Others at the event were Sir Adedeji Adedoyin and his adorable wife.
Impressively, Mrs Kemi Ayelabola who came all the way from Europe defied all obstacles to also register her presence at the star studded party.
More on the roll call were members of staff of NNPC Retail Limited, Adeola Oremakinde, Buhari Aliu, Michael Ogbu, Shola Anifowoshe and her husband, Paul Okeowo, Charles Ezekiel, Hafsah Muhammed.
