Nigerian airline, Air Peace has on Tuesday, 7th of April, become the first airline operator in Nigeria to connect a direct flight to China.
The Airline revealed this in a Facebook post on Tuesday after it landed in the Asian country after a 14-hour flight.
Air Peace is in China to carry the federal government’s medical supplies for COVID-19.
Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire had announced that Nigeria is expecting over a million medical supplies from China.
“Another history is made today, April 7, 2020 as this satellite Image shows Air Peace Boeing 777-200ER(P4 5N-BVE) that landed in Beijing, China at 14:18pm for the airlift of FG’s medical supplies for the fight against COVID-19.
This is the first time a Nigerian airline would be doing a direct nonstop 14hrs flight to China. May God be praised in the highest,” the company said.
