Zulum swears in two commissioners, judicial council member
Ahead of the 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season, the Bayelsa Pre-Season Football Tournament to prepare Bayelsa United will kick off on August 10, 2025, at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
The tournament will feature six NPFL teams: Bendel Insurance, El-Kanemi Warriors, Enugu Rangers, Kun Khalifa FC of Owerri, Warri Wolves, and Bayelsa United.
Two non-league sides, Prosperity Cup champions Eternal Grace Ministry (EGM FC) and Bayelsa United’s U-20 team, will also participate.
Tournament coordinator Mr. Diseye Nwankwe stated that team arrivals and draws are set for Sunday, August 10, with matches running from August 11 to 16.
The event aims to ensure Bayelsa United is ready for the NPFL season, which begins on August 22.
Nwankwe thanked Governor Senator Douye Diri, Deputy Governor Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, and Sports Development Commissioner Dr. Daniel Igali for their support in preparing the team.
