The Social Democratic Party, SDP, presidential standard bearer in Saturday’s election, Mr Adewole Adebayo, said he remained the candidate of the party and that they had kept faith with the Nigetian people.
In a tweet on his verified Twitter handle, Adebayo, who was apparently reacting to the purported endorsement of Mr Peter Obi of the Labour Party as the candidate the SDP would vote on Saturday, said the purported decision was a “fake news”.
According to him: “We have kept faith with the Nigerian people by pursuing your issues and priorities on the campaign trail.
“We have kept our word to run the race to the end. Now is the time for the electorate to endorse our manifesto and vote massively for the white horse. That’s the true choice.”
