The African Democratic Congress has postponed its presidential and governorship aspirant screenings to Monday, May 18, 2026, citing security concerns in parts of Northern Nigeria.
National Publicity Secretary Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi said the exercise originally set for this weekend was rescheduled. Screening for federal lawmaker aspirants from affected northern areas will now hold in Abuja.
“All affected aspirants will be duly contacted with the updated schedules and necessary details,” Abdullahi said in a statement Sunday.
The party said it regretted any inconvenience and thanked aspirants and stakeholders for their understanding.
