Supreme Court reserves judgement in ADC leadership tussle as David Mark fights appeal

A contentious court case involving the African Democratic Congress (ADC) escalated as Mr. Nkemakolam Ukandu, a party chieftain, petitioned Justice Liman Suleiman to step down due to alleged bias.

Ukandu claims the judge’s rulings favor Wike’s interests, undermining opposition parties.

In a March 26 motion, Ukandu’s counsel, Kalu Kalu Age Esq, argued Justice Suleiman exceeded jurisdiction by granting an application without proper notice.

The motion seeks case reassignment and stay of proceedings pending the Chief Judge’s decision.

The dispute involves Hon. Leke Abejide’s challenge to Senator David Mark’s ADC leadership.

Abejide, expelled for anti-party activities, continues to contest leadership in court, including Ukandu’s role as welfare secretary.
