Actress Temitope Osoba has revealed a deeply emotional part of her cancer journey, sharing the challenges she faced after her diagnosis.

In an interview with Oyinmomo TV, Osoba explained that doctors warned her the medications required for treatment could affect her ability to conceive for the next five years, potentially delaying her plans of having a child until her 40s.

The 38-year-old described the news as devastating given her age.

However, Osoba said she refused to accept the prognosis and leaned on her faith. She embarked on a journey of prayer and fasting, combining spiritual practices with her medical treatment.

She recounted: “I was told I had cancer and that further tests would be carried out to check how far it had spread.

“The doctors also said I wouldn’t be able to conceive for the next 5 years because of the medications I’d have to take, as they could affect the baby.

“Hearing that at 38 years old was devastating. I couldn’t imagine waiting that long. But I rejected the report and held on to my faith in God.

“I began the journey with prayer and fasting, combining both the medical and the spiritual. When I did a CT scan, it came out negative; the cancer hadn’t spread. Eventually, they performed a second surgery to remove the remaining tumour.” [Prompt News]
