Ace broadcaster, Dr Tomori Oluwunmi, is dead.
Dr Oluwunmi died on Tuesday morning, 6 June 2023, in Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital from a brief illness.
His son, who broke the news, said his father, who was in good health up to Monday night, suddenly started complaining of chest pain before he gave up.
The Executive Secretary of Broadcasting Organisation of Nigeria (BON), Dr Yemisi Bamgbose, in his short tribute, said he was devastated by Oluwunmi’s death.
‘We lost Tomori Oluwunmi this morning, and I could not believe it when I was told this morning. This is sad and shocking to me, and a big blow and loss to the broadcasting media industry’, Bamgbose said.
A statement from the family read : “With heavy hearts but with total submission to the will of God Almighty, we announce the sudden demise of Dr Tomori Oluwunmi which occurred very early today 06/06, 2023.
“The Late Oluwunmi’s funeral arrangements will start with a Christian wake on Thursday, June 15, 2023, while the funeral service will hold at St Peter Cathedral Church, Ake, Abeokuta, on Friday June 16, 2023.”
