A housewife, Roselyn Oche, has asked a Customary Court in Garki to dissolve her marriage, alleging her husband had extramarital affairs with at least 10 women during their marriage.
Oche, a Garki resident, filed the divorce petition on Friday against her husband, Attah, a civil servant.
“My husband has had extramarital affairs with at least ten women during the pendency of our marriage, and I cannot reasonably be expected to continue living with him,” she told the court.
She also accused her husband of neglecting his responsibilities towards their children due to the affairs and subjecting her to extreme emotional manipulation.
Oche is seeking a divorce, custody of the children, and a court order compelling her husband to provide for their upkeep.
Attah denied all the allegations.
Presiding judge Mr. Festus Enomhonse adjourned the case to May 11 for hearing.
