The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Sunday night announced 260 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number in the country to 12486.
According to the health agency the deaths cases in the country increased from 343 on Saturday night to 354 on Sunday night. This shows that Nigeria has 12 new deaths due to coronavirus in the last 34 hours.
The figure released on Sunday by the NCDC also show that Abia and FCT has 67 and 40 new cases respectively
The health agency apologise for erroneously reporting 7 new cases in Jigawa on Saturday. It explain that the cases were repeaedt tests for previously confirmed cases. “Yesterday, we erroneously reported 7 new cases in Jigawa. Following further review, we can confirm that these were repeat tests for previously confirmed cases.
“We apologise for this error and remain committed to ensuring transparent and accurate reporting of test results,” NCDC said
