
Minority Leader of the Senate, Enyinnaya Abaribe, on Saturday declared his readiness to throw his hat in the ring for the 2023 Abia State governorship race.
Abaribe gave confirmation of his governorship bid through his Special Assistant on Media, Mr Uche Awom.
Abaribe was said to have spoken about the critical issue when he visited the State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu in the company of his supporters and leaders of thought on Christmas Day.
Awom confirmed that Abaribe made his intention to contest the gubernatorial race known to Governor Ikpeazu at the Abia Government House in Umuahia during the visit.
He described the reception by the governor as “warm and convivial.”
