● Cattle rearers’ group praises free tractors, new Livestock Ministry, markets a d youth empowerment, says “creditably performed in virtually all sectors”
The Kulen Allah Cattle Rearers Association of Nigeria, KACRAN, has rated Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni’s 7-year administration at 99%, calling it “outstanding leadership and transformative governance.”
In a statement marking Buni’s seventh anniversary, KACRAN National President Hon. Khalil Mohd Bello said the governor’s people-oriented policies have reshaped agriculture, education, commerce, youth empowerment and livestock development.
KACRAN said Buni boosted food production by distributing tractors, harvesters, fertilizers and other farm inputs “free of charge or at subsidized rates” to farmers statewide.
The group also praised the creation of a dedicated Ministry of Livestock Development, saying it showed commitment to one of Yobe’s key economic sectors and ensured “competent individuals” handled key roles.
The association highlighted construction of modern markets in major towns, arguing the projects enhanced commercial opportunities and positioned Yobe as an emerging North-East business hub.
In education, KACRAN noted investments in schools, infrastructure and human capital that improved the state’s competitiveness. Thousands of youths and women, it added, benefited from jobs, empowerment schemes and financial support for entrepreneurship.
Beyond Yobe, KACRAN acknowledged Buni’s influence in national politics — as ex-Chairman of APC Caretaker Committee and current chairman of the party’s reconciliation committee. The group credited him with “exceptional conflict-resolution skills” and reputation as a unifying APC figure.
“KACRAN’s assessment shows that Governor Buni has performed creditably in virtually all sectors that directly affect the lives of the people,” the statement concluded.
Buni assumed office in 2019 and has continued to draw endorsements from groups crediting his administration with development initiatives while maintaining visibility in national affairs.
