The General Manager, Osun State Emergency Management Agency, Engr Tajudeen Adabanija has advised the residents of the State to desist from any act that may likely cause fire outbreak in the State.
Engr Adabanija gave this advice in his office in Osogbo while fielding questions from journalists.
According to him, the residents of Osun must abstain from any act that might cause fire outbreak such as incessant burning of bush, buying and keeping of petrol in the house, carelessness in handling of cooking gas, refusal to unplug unused electronic appliances( both in the office and at homes),gas leakages, irregular electrical supplies, to mention but a few, that can cause fire incidence.
Engr Adabanija stressed further that the life and property of the citizens of Osun were paramount and important to Governor Gboyega Oyetola.
He therefore urged all and sundry to take cognizance of the fact that the prevailing dry season was notorious for diverse fire disasters and take necessary precautionary measures to prevent it, adding ” prevention is better than cure.”
