2nd Wave: 10 persons die as NCDC confirms 397 fresh COVID-19 cases

The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Monday, announced 397 new cases of COVID-19 infections in the country.
The health agency disclosed that Lagos had the highest record of the fresh cases with-144, Plateau-83, Kaduna-48, Adamawa-36, Rivers-22, Oyo-16, Kebbi-10, Nasarawa-7, Sokoto-7, FCT-5, Kano-5, Edo-4, Jigawa-3, Ogun-2, Akwa Ibom-2, Niger-1, Bauchi-1 and Zamfara-1.
The agency said 10 deaths occurred in the country in the last 24 hours, as the fatality figure increased from 1,254 on Sunday to 1,264 on Monday.
The data from the agency disclosed that 323 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours as the figure of discharged cases stood at 71,357 while 12,190 cases were still active in the country.
NCDC explained that the discharges on Monday included 152 community recoveries in Lagos State managed in line with guidelines.
