269 Nigerians stranded in India returns, observing mandatory 14-day self-isolation in Lagos and Abuja

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said 269 stranded Nigerians in India who were returned to the country on Saturday are now observing the mandatory 14-day self-isolation in Lagos and Abuja

The health agency said they have provided the groups with guidance and materials for observation of the mandatory 14-day self-isolation

“Over the last 24 hours, NCDC has worked with Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nigeria and Port Health Services in Lagos and Abuja, to receive 269 Nigerians from India

“We provided the groups with guidance and materials for observation of the mandatory 14-day self-isolation,” NCDC said

The Nigerian in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), on Saturday, confirmed the arrival of 269 Nigerians in Lagos and Abuja.
The commission said the 269 Nigerians (103 in Lagos and 166 in Abuja) arrived Nigeria at 2:00 a.m and they were received from India at the Lagos and Abuja airports after a few hours of delay.
