One Adamu Abdulahi, 33, has been docked in an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan, Oyo State for allegedly possessing one AK 47 live ammunition.
Abdulahi, of no fixed address, was charged with unlawful possession of live ammunition on Thursday in Oyo State.
The Prosecutor, Inspector Philip Amusan, told the court that the defendant allegedly committed the offence on October 26, 2023 at about 10:30am along Ojoo/Akinyele Road, Ibadan.
Amusan alleged that Abdulahi unlawfully had in his possession the live ammunition, which he could not satisfactorily account for.
He said the defendant committed an offence contrary to the criminal laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The Magistrate, I. O. Olanipekun, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N100,000 with two reliable sureties in like sum.
Olanipekun adjourned the case until January 25, 2024 for hearing.
