Tijjani Galadima, former Chief Executive of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund, has won the All Progressives Congress governorship primary in Adamawa State.
Announcing the result in Yola on Friday, committee chairman Prof. Innocent Barikor said Galadima polled 414,444 votes. Abdulrazak Namdas scored 86,004 votes, while Abdulrahaman Haske got 65,934 votes.
“Having satisfied the party’s requirements, Galadima is hereby declared winner,” Barikor said.
The results were announced before representatives of the Independent National Electoral Commission, the appeal committee, party officials, and other stakeholders.
In his acceptance speech, Galadima thanked party supporters for backing him as the APC candidate. He commended stakeholders, including National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, for ensuring a level playing field during the primary. He also thanked aspirants who stepped down and urged continued support for the party’s victory in 2027.
Galadima will fly the APC flag in the 2027 Adamawa governorship election.
