Grassroots political analysts have put forward projected pairings for the 2027 presidential race across five major parties.
The list includes incumbent President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima for the APC, former President Goodluck Jonathan with Sule Lamido for the PDP, and Peter Obi paired with Rabiu Kwankwaso for the NDC.

Other projections name Atiku Abubakar and Rotimi Amaechi for the ADC, and Seyi Makinde with Bala Mohammed for the APM.
The analysts said the combinations reflect current political calculations ahead of party primaries.
It is important to note that none of the parties listed have held or concluded their presidential primary elections.
The pairings remain speculative and are based on ongoing consultations, alliances, and public positioning by key figures.
The analysts also observed that the opposition is currently divided against the incumbent President Bola Tinubu.
With multiple parties fielding strong candidates, votes are expected to be disaggregated across several platforms.
That split makes it likely that the margin of victory for whoever emerges as president will not be remarkably wide.
