The founder of the Ondo Progressives, Mr. Adegboyega Amoboye, has declared that there is no vacancy in Ondo State Government House where Lucky Ayedatiwa is presiding over statecraft.
Amoboye said APC gubernatorial primary election in April would provide an opportunity for Governor Ayedatiwa to receive an automatic ticket to contest the November Gubernatorial election.
Amoboye, who is also member of the Yoruba Education Trusfund ( YETFUND), said in a press release that this had been the convention and therefore appealed to the remaining aspirants not to waste their money but wait for their time.
He said what was essential now was for all hands to be on deck with Governor Ayedatiwa and his Deputy, Chief Olayide Adelami to finish the good race started by the late Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.
He commended Ayedatiwa for demonstrating his love for peace and progress by picking his Deputy from Owo to appease the people of Ondo North.
Besides, he mobilised contractors back to sites to continue with the development projects started by Akeredolu.
He said strategically, the Governor had won the heart of Ondo people with his progressive govwrnance.
He saud the governor stood a good chance to win any election on the strength of his good work and positive dispositions.
Mr. Amoboye appealed to the National Chairman and Leadership of the APC to remain steafast in their usual quest for peace, progress and stability by ensuring automatic ticket for the incumbent Governor Ayedatiwa.
As the ruling party, Amoboye said eyes of APC leaders must remain focused on the ball in Ondo State in preparation for the 2027 Presidential election.
He said: “Therefore automatic ticket should be guaranteed for Ayedatiwa, being the man Providence has put in power for victory in November.
“There are about 10 aspirants for the primary election due in April for the November Gubernatorial election and swearing in of the Governor- elect in February 2025.”
Mr Amoboye stated that with opposition landmines, APC leaders in the state must not lose focus, but “unite for victory in Ayedatiwa, the sure bet for the race.”
