Asisat Oshoala on a celebratory mood after engineering Australia defeat

Asisat Oshoala made a name for herself after netting in Super Falcons’ victory against Australia on Thursday afternoon.

The 28-year-old shrugged off injuries to make the thrilling contest played at the Lang Park, Brisbane.

Oshoala scored Nigeria’s third goal on 72 minute.

The Barcelona Femeni forward then entered the history books as the first African nay Nigerian to score in three consecutive FIFA Women’s World Cups after she netted in the side’s 3-2 victory against Australia.

Oshoala scored her first World Cup goal for the Super Falcons in the 3-3 draw against Sweden at the 2015 edition hosted by Canada.

The 28-year-old was also on target four years ago in the 2-0 win against South Korea. (Prompt News)
