A leading community leader in Osun State, Oluomo Fatai Kolawole, has said that the efforts of the Southwest of Nigeria in producing the next president in 2023 should be a collective responsibility which all discerning minds must work for.
The Olumo of Modakekeland gave the charge in Ibadan, Oyo State capital while speaking with journalists after the unveiling of South West Agenda 2023 for Tinubu (SWAGA), a political platform with membership drawn from the six South-Western States to see to the emergence of the political icon and former Lagos State governor, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as the next president of the federal republic of Nigeria.
Extolling the rare virtue of Tinubu, Kolawole described the national leader of All Progressives Congress as a leader that is always hunting for other leaders.
In his words, the Chieftain of All Progressives Congress said, “Tinubu had worked for sustainable progressive forces for more than three decades, full of political strength and abracadabra, mobilizing and supporting the actualization of people’s dreams cutting across the length and breadth of the country.”
“He has successfully shown the world and other Nigeria’s leaders in particular that there is strength in our diversity, going by the array of brilliant minds he assembled as the helmsman of Lagos, which indeed put the largest city in Africa on the path of prosperity
“Over three decades, Asiwaju has shown that he is a leader for all seasons with or without political office, head hunting for talented Nigerians, nurturing leaders and developing human capacities,” he said.
According to Oluomo Kolawole, “It is time for us to demonstrate our unalloyed support to him and ensure his emergence as our next President of the Country”.
