2023 Poll: Ex-militants back Tinubu’s victory, call for Ndiomu’s sack

Ex-agitators of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, PAP, Phase 2, have congratulated the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, on his victory.

The group also wished the veteran politician a prosperous and successful leadership of the country and the Niger Delta in particular.

In a statement, signed and sent to newsmen in Yenagoa, by the Chairman, PAP phase 2, Gen. Paul Johnson and other executive members, they promised to work with the president-elect to achieve his desired aims in Nigeria and the Niger-Delta region.

The group assured him of continued peace as he enjoyed in the region to attract more development and deliver dividends of democracy to the people.

The group said, “We will work with the President-elect with open mind in the Niger-Delta to achieve the needed peace in the region. One thing we are requesting in order for peace to reign in the Niger-Delta is to sack the interim administrator of the presidential amnesty programme, Major Gen. Tariye Ndiomu (retd) as the head of the presidential Amnesty programme.”
