The Labour Party (LP) Senatorial Candidate for Osun East Senatorial District in the forthcoming 2023 general elections, Hon John Fasogbon, has declared that the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi, is poised to win the election, saying he is the man to beat.
Hon. Fasogbon made this known on Sunday in his Christmas and New Year message to his constituents and made available to journalists.
The senatorial candidate congratulated Christian faithful in his constituency as they celebrate Christmas.
He also wished all and sundry happy new year in advance.
He said on claims that Obi would burn out of the race before January 2023 by some quarters, “it is very clear that every political calculation has projected Obi as the man to beat in the coming election.:
According to Hon Fasogbon, “there is an indication that Peter Obi’s antecedents and qualification have marked him out as the man who is needed at this time to rescue and rebuild our beloved country.
“Obi is the only presidential candidate that can unite and liberate the entire country.
“The change Peter Obi is bringing to Nigeria will linger forever. Nigerians will choose credible candidate like Peter Obi, not candidates with criminal records or people with criminal records or people with questionable backgrounds. Obi will become the standard as we won’t choose bitter leaves over honey”.
The Ile-Ife born politician who called on Nigerians to be united and demonstrate their unalloyed support to the Labour Party Presidential Candidate reiterated his readiness to serve and turn around the fortunes of the entire Ife/Ijesa Senatorial district, saying he has been tested and never found wanting.
“Myself and entire Fasogbons wish you all merry Christmas and happy new year in advance,” Hon Fasogbon concluded.
